Welcome to the 2012 edition of the HorseStreet Par Times. If you are interested in comparing times from distance-to-distance or track-to-track, these are a must have for the serious handicapper.
New Feature! Speed Reliability Index!
The SRI tells you which tracks run truer to speed than others. You will be surprised! (Not all Polytracks were created equal!)
What’s Included?
There are actually three types of pars:
Track Pars - These address the speed of the track. This booklet addresses the issue of “How fast is the track” compared to other tracks. It is designed for the player that is doing calculations from one distance to another of from one track to another. The times represent what could be expected of the leader/winner in a $10,000 open claiming race for older males.
Class Pars – This is the big boy in our collection. This shows the relationship of class levels at each track. It is 133-pages of pars for each class level, at each distance, at each track. Most of this is based upon painstaking analysis of class levels, while some of the class pars are theoretical.
Track Class - This 13-page booklet contains a summary of the typical races run at each track sorted by relative class level. Thus, at a glance, one can know that a horse that just won a NW1 allowance race at Hawthorne is actually dropping about a half level if he is next entered in a NW2 allowance at Calder.
You get all three!
